My little one will create masterpieces here in these frames, as will her friends, our friends, guests at our dinner parties, etc. I can't wait to see how this wall evolves over time.
The little oval antique mirror belonged to my great aunt and I found this great spot for it just above the sink so that all of the little people who use our potty can see their pretty faces.
I used Pratt and Lambert's Seed Pearl paint and Rust-oleum's chalkboard paint.
Here it is in the process.
Here is the before~ eek, bad picture, bad color.
This powder bath had floral wallpaper and in a desperate attempt to cover it before we moved in, I bought some khaki green 'oops' paint at Lowe's and painted right over the paper. It was fine for the past few years that we've lived here but I was ready for a change. This powder bath is right off of our kitchen in a highly visible spot and the green wasn't playing well off the gray kitchen walls, hence my excuse to paint it white~ha!
It is so much brighter now with the semi-gloss white~ish walls. Not even the black chalkboard wall can darken up this space.
It was well worth the minimal cost for the paint and the elbow grease that went into removing the old wallpaper. We will be in this house for at least a few more years and it's important to me to feel at home and actually enjoy my surroundings.
We just returned from our journey today so I'll be readjusting my head and body and will have lots to share with you in the coming week.
I've missed you!!
